It's a cone puppet toy, otherwise known as a pop-up puppet, a type of puppet which became popular in the Victorian period.
Corinne did this sample as "Alice down the rabbit hole" - a perfect subject for a pop-up puppet, as it looks like Alice is falling down the rabbit hole when the dowel is raised and lowered.
The tutorial will show more options for decorating your puppet, including fairies and garden themes; many images will be provided.
